Euterpe launched
On 14 November 1863, full-rigged iron windjammer Star of India was launched as 'Euterpe' at shipbuilder Gibson, McDondald & Arnold, of Ramsey, Isle of Man, for the Indian jute trade of Wakefield Nash & Company of Liverpool.
Here seen at Port Chalmers, the port of Dunedin, New Zealand, in 1883.
Now an operational museum ship at Martime Museum of San Diego, CA.
