On 28 January 1945, Gearing-class destroyer Everett F. Larson (DD-830) was launched at Bath Iron Works, Bath Maine, sponsored by Mrs. H. Larson, mother of PFC Larson.
She was transferred to South Korea on 30 October 1972 and is now a museum ship at the Gangneung Unification Park, Gangneung, South Korea.
