Museumships need to coordinate

Seems to me that the Museumships are spread all over the US and over the world. Doesn't look to me like we compete with each other for people to visit the ship

One item that would be nice is for a Forum where the various ships can communicate their successes and failures. My per need is for a place where I an talk to other Battleship Museums to see if they have part, tech manuals, etc. that I could use when restoring a lot of the legacy equipment.

Just a thought.

That would be indeed a great initiative. There are two major problems, that of language and methods, the second being that some museum ships are privately run, others are state owned. In any case most major museum ships, with few exceptions, are in the USA. A good platform of cooperation should begin there.

It is a great thought, and my original thoughts behind starting this forum.
Right now this forum is ready to be used for the exact purpose you describe.
If you have a suggestion for an additional (sub)forum let me know. I can adapt, add, change and even limit access to a certain subforum to a select group of museum ship professionals if that would be needed. But we need people to know about it and participate, that can take some time. Spread the word

Eventhough I would love it, not everybody will participate. It'll be mostly US museumships, so language shouldn't be a problem. You are a prime example, being from Greece, and communicating without any issues
