Part of an extensive archaeological project undertaken by the Maritime Museum of Crete, to reconstruct an ancient Minoan Ship (1500 BC) along with one of the old Venetian Arsenals to house it, with an permanent exhibition of traditional shipbuilding.
The project lasted between 2001 - 2004 and only available info technology and materials of the bronze age were used. The "ship" managed to sail from Chania to Athens proving the bronze age technology was capable to provide a civilization a proper navy.
