LV-95

Post by JaySeaArchaeology »

Hello Scuttlebutt, I am searching for a vessel that was initially slated to be made into a museum ship but, for whatever reason, it was never preserved. It was a former Lightship LV-95/WAL-519, details can be found here:

In my quest to list all museumships on MuseumShips I found lightships the most confusing, as they have had different names and different stations, so I did the next best thing, and posted it on our Facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/museumships/po ... 8072654601

Thanks for the post! In my research the united states alone has at least 15 lightships currently on display and one that's privately owned. The UK has many more including three that are still on active duty.
