Retired Essex-class aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) approaches the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor on 5 December 2006, on its way to Bayonne, New Jersey (USA), for two years of maintenance. The Intrepid has served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam and is now a museum at Pier 86 in New York City.
