On 12 July 1995 French Daphne class submarine Flore (S645) was hauled onto a Lorient slipway and from then on she is maintained by a group of former submariners called the MESMAT Association (Musée de l'escadrille des sous-marins de l'Atlantique)

9 years ago today, on 11 July 2014, Iris-class 180-foot buoy tender, EML Valvas (PVL-109), former USCGC Bittersweet (WLB-389), was decommissioned, and is now a museum ship Lennusadam Seaplane Harbour, Tallinn, Estonia.

HTMS Tachin (PF-1) becomes museum ship

22 years ago today, on 9 July 2001, Thai HTMS Tachin (PF-1) , former Tacoma-class patrol frigate USS Glendale (PF-36), became a museum ship at the Thai Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School, Nakhon Nayok, Thailand.
She was dismantled and transported by truck to the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School, re-assembled, and has been on display there since 9 July 2001 with all her original armament intact
