USS Sarsfield Launched

On 27 May 1945, Gearing-class destroyer USS Sarsfield (DD-837) was launched by the Bath Iron Works Co., Bath, Maine, sponsored by Mrs. Eugene S. Sarsfield. She was transferred to Taiwan as Te Yang (DG-925) on October 1 1977 and is now a museum ship in Tainan City, Taiwan.
