Liberty ship SS Hellas Liberty (ex SS Arthur M. Huddell)

SS Hellas Liberty never sailed under the Greek flag, but hundreds other liberty ships did , serving as the backbone of post war Greek merchant marine. Unfortunately none of them were preserved.

She was built in 1943 and served in the USN in various roles until 1984 and then as a barge until 2008. That year the large merchant marine community in Greece bought her, transferred her to Piraeus and completely restored her inside and out, as a floating convention, exhibition center and maritime museum.

I've been trying to get in touch with anybody associated with her, employee, volunteer, owner, I don't care who, but to no avail so far.
Would love to add her to the site, but I have no point of contact.
Do you know somebody involved with 'Hellas Liberty'?

The ship came to Greece, was restored and is maintained by private funds. After some more in depth research, I found that the institution that is responsible for the ship is the "Greek merchant marine Captains Association"

This is their page, but you wont find much about the ship, other than photos of various events they organize on board.

Mind you that COSCO has bought much of the Piraeus port, and so the curators want to find a different mooring spot for the ship. The Naval tradition Park were Averof is, is completely full and has no space for a Liberty no less.....
