Mercuur struck from Dutch Naval Register

On 16 November 1989, HNLMS Mercuur (A-856) was struck from the Dutch Naval Register.
She was built as AM-483 at Peterson Builders Inc., Sturgeon Bay, WI in 1953, and transferred to the Netherlands as 'Onverschrokken' (M 886) (Renamed Mercuur and reclassified A-856, 11 May 1973)
Now a museum ship in Vlissingen, Netherlands.

On 14 November 1863, full-rigged iron windjammer Star of India was launched as 'Euterpe' at shipbuilder Gibson, McDondald & Arnold, of Ramsey, Isle of Man, for the Indian jute trade of Wakefield Nash & Company of Liverpool.
