Kidd DD-661 launched
82 years ago today, on 28 February 1943, Fletcher-class destroyer USS Kidd DD-661 was launched at Federal Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, Kearny, NJ, sponsored by Mrs. Isaac C. Kidd, widow of Rear Admiral Kidd.
