NS Savannah maiden voyage
62 years ago today, on 20 August 1962 the first nuclear-powered merchant ship NS Savannah started her maiden voyage.
First stop; Savannah , GA her homeport. During its six-day stay in Savannah, an estimated 35,000 visitors toured the ship.
