USS Sarsfield laid down

January 15 1945, 73 years ago today, Gearing-class destroyer USS Sarsfield (DD-837) was laid down at Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine. She was transferred to Taiwan on 1 October 1977 and is now a museum ship in Tainan City, Taiwan
