Turbinia moved

On 30 October 1994, the first steam turbine-powered steamship 'Turbinia' was moved to Newcastle's Museum of Science and Engineering (later renamed The Discovery Museum) and put on display to the public in March 1996.

USS Everett F. Larson decommissioned

On 30 October 1972, Gearing-class destroyer Everett F. Larson (DD-830) was decommissioned
She was transferred to South Korea as ROKS Jeon Buk (DD-916) the same day and is now a museum ship at the Gangneung Unification Park, Gangneung, South Korea.
