Now a museum ship in Le Barcarès, France.

USS Gudgeon commissioned

73 years ago today, on 21 November 1952, Tang-class submarine TCG Hizirreis (S342) was commissioned as USS Gudgeon (SS-567), with Commander Robert M. Carroll in command.

Mercuur struck from Dutch Naval Register

On 16 November 1989, HNLMS Mercuur (A-856) was struck from the Dutch Naval Register.
She was built as AM-483 at Peterson Builders Inc., Sturgeon Bay, WI in 1953, and transferred to the Netherlands as 'Onverschrokken' (M 886) (Renamed Mercuur and reclassified A-856, 11 May 1973)
Now a museum ship in Vlissingen, Netherlands.

EK-22 returned to USN

74 years ago today, on 14 November 1949, Soviet Union Tacoma-class frigate EK-22 was returned to the United States and entered the Pacific Reserve Fleet in Yokosuka. 
She was finally transferred to Thailand on 29 October 1951 as HTMS Prasae.
She is now a museum ship at Paknam Prasae, Thailand

Bittersweet launched

82 years ago today, on 11 November 1943, Iris-class 180-foot buoy tender USCGC Bittersweet (WLB-389) was launched at the Zenith Dredge Company, Duluth, Minnesota. She was transferred to Estonia on 5 September 1997 as 'Valvas' (PVL-109), and is now a museum ship at Eesti Meremuuseum, Tallinn, Estonia.
