USS Everett F. Larson decommissioned

On 30 October 1972, Gearing-class destroyer Everett F. Larson (DD-830) was decommissioned
She was transferred to South Korea as ROKS Jeon Buk (DD-916) the same day and is now a museum ship at the Gangneung Unification Park, Gangneung, South Korea.

Gallup decommissioned

73 years ago today, on 29 October 1951, Tacoma-class frigate USS Gallup (PF-47) was decommissioned in Yokosuka, and transferred under the Military Defense Assistance Program along with her sister ship Glendale to Thailand and served thereafter in the Royal Thai Navy as HTMS Prasae (PF 2). Prasae remained in service until struck from the Thai Navy Register and decommissioned on 22 June 2000.
She is now a museum ship at Paknam Prasae, Thailand.
