She was sold to Indonesia in the early 60's as KRI Pasopati (410), and is now a MuseumShip in Surabaya

USS Ainsworth (DE-1090) launched

54 years ago today, on 15 April 1972 Knox-class frigate USS Ainsworth (DE-1090) was launched at Avondale Shipyard, Westwego LA, sponsored by Mrs. Katherine Gardner Ainsworth, the widow of Vice Admiral Ainsworth.
She was transferred to Turkey as TCG Ege (F-256)) on 27 May 1994, and is now a museum ship in Izmir, Turkey.
