On 6 April 1945, Gearing-class destroyer Everett F. Larson (DD-830) was commissioned, commander H. Meyers in command.
She was transferred to South Korea on 30 October 1972 and is now a museum ship at the Gangneung Unification Park, Gangneung, South Korea.
