Ngahau Siliva - P102

Ngahau Siliva (Silver Arrow) was a 45-foot Virgin Clipper-type Patrol Launch built by Brooke Marine, Lowestoft in the United Kingdom for what was then the Maritime Defence Division of the Tongan Defence Service (now the Tonga Royal Navy).

She was built with a Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) hull, and was manned by a crew of 7. In service, she was armed with two 0.5” Browning Machine Guns. She was powered by two Cummins V8 diesels which gave a maximum speed of 21 knots, and she had a range of 1,000 nautical miles.

Ngahau Siliva served in the Tonga Royal Navy from 1975 to 1991. She has been restored under the Tonga-Australia Defence Cooperation Program, and in July 2024 opened as a monument at the entry to HM Naval Base Masefield, near Nuku Alofa.
